The third eldest son, Nar Singh, became the king.<br \/>The elder two sons then returned from Benaras and defeated Nar Singh<br \/><strong>Malla Dev became the king<\/strong><br \/><strong>Changed his name to Nar Narayan<\/strong><br \/>Sukladhvaj became the Commander-in-Chief<br \/><strong>Sukladhvaj was popularly known as Chilarai<\/strong><\/p><p>Suklengmung attacked Nar Narayan, but Ahoms were not successful<br \/>Ahoms finally lost in Kaliabor in 1546<\/p><p>In 1547, Nar Narayan constructed a road from Koch Behar to Narnarayanpur, about 350 miles<br \/>Supervised by Gosai Kamal, as such the road came to be known as Gosai Kamal\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s Road<\/p><p>Nar Narayan build a fort at Narnarayanpur<br \/>Ahoms attacked at defeated the Koch<\/p><p>The Ahoms and Koch again met at the mouth of the Dikhow river in 1502.<br \/>Ahoms lost again<br \/><br \/>In 1503, Chilarai attacked Ahoms,<br \/>Ahoms greatly lost<br \/>Koch occupied Gargaon<\/p><p>Narnarayan then annexed<br \/>Kachari kingdom<br \/>Manipur kingdom<br \/>Jatinga kingdom<br \/>King of Tipara <br \/>Sylhat king<br \/>Dimoria kingdom<\/p><p>Padshah of Gaur attacked the Koch kingdom<br \/>Chilarai was taken prisoner<br \/>Koch lost<\/p><p>Nar Narayan made alliance with Akbar<br \/>Attacked Padshah of Gaur and defeated him<\/p><p>Chilarai had smallpox and died<br \/>Nar Narayan died in 1584<\/p><p><strong>RELIGIOUS POLICY:<\/strong><\/p><ul><li>Tantrik Hinduism was getting popular<\/li><li>Human Sacrifice was done<\/li><li>Nar Narayan gave patronage to Srimanta Sankardev and Vaishnavism<\/li><li>Srimanta Sankardev was born in 1449<\/li><li>After Srimanta Sankardev, the successor was Madhav Dev.<\/li><li>A sum of people did not accept Madhav Dev. They were known as Bamunia Gohain.<\/li><\/ul><p><strong>EDUCATION<\/strong><\/p><ul><li>Nar Narayan was interested in learning<\/li><li>Ananta Konduli translated Bhagavat Gita to Assamese<\/li><li>A number of Vaishnavism hymes were written<\/li><li>Purushyuttam Bidyabagish wrote a grammar<\/li><\/ul><p><strong>CONSTRUCTION<\/strong><\/p><ul><li>Gokhai Komol Ali<\/li><li>Straighten the Brahmaputra near Pandunath<\/li><\/ul><p><strong>FOREIGN VISITOR<\/strong><\/p><ul><li>Ralph Fitch visited Koch kingdom during the time of Nar Narayan<\/li><\/ul><p>\u00a0<\/p><ul><li>Raghu Deb, the son of Chilarai, was given a part of Nad Narayanas kingdom that lied east of the Sankosh river &#8211; present day Mangoldoi, Kamrup and Goalpara districts<\/li><li>Raghu Deb rebuild the Hayragriva temple at Hajo<\/li><li>Isa Khan, an Afghan, attacked Raghu Deb and occupied Rangamati in Goalpara district<\/li><li>After Nar Narayan, his son Lakshmi Narayan became the king and Raghu Deb refused to pay any tribute. He declared himself independent.<\/li><li>Raghu Deb&#8217;s son Parikshit, rebelled against Raghu Deb and had to flee away to Lakshmi Narayan and was well accepted.<\/li><li>When Raghu Deb died, Parikshit became the king.<\/li><li>He shifted his capital to North Guwahati and build a palace near Asvakranta hill.<\/li><li>Conflict started between Parikshit and Lakshmi Narayan. Parikshit asked the Ahoms for help and Lakshmi Narayan went to the Mughals.<\/li><li>Mukkarram Khan was sent by Jahangir to invade the Koch kingdom.<\/li><li>Parikshit lost and was taken prisoner. He died on his way back from Delhi.<\/li><li>Mukkarram Khan was made the Governor.<\/li><li>War started again between Ahoms and Mughals.<\/li><li>Ahoms won and Bali Narayan was installed as the Raja of Darrang.<\/li><li>After Bali Narayan, Dharma Narayan and Sundar Narayan became the king.
