1 JULY

  • Monsoon session of the parliament will start from 18th July. This can be the last one in the existing Parliament building.
  • Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) will raise the capacity of the Digboi refinery. The Digboi refinery was commissioned on December 11, 1901, and is India’s oldest operating refinery and one of the oldest operating refineries in the world. Previously owned and operated by the Assam Oil Company Limited/Burmah Oil Company, it came into the IOC fold by an Act of Parliament on October 14, 1981, and became the Assam Oil Division of the company.
  • According to the Presidential and Vice-Presidential Election Act, a nomination for the Presidential poll is rejected if it is not backed by 50 proposers and 50 seconders from the electoral college made up of members of Parliament and Legislative Assemblies.The nomination will also be rejected if an aspirant does not pay Rs 15,000 in cash or present a receipt showing such an amount deposited in the Reserve Bank of India or a government treasury. Cheques and demand drafts are not acceptable means of paying security deposit. According to the law, any Indian citizen having completed 35 years and eligible to be a member of the Lok Sabha is qualified to become a candidate to contest the election to the office of the President of India. The aspiring candidate should not be holding any office of profit under the Central or State government or under any local or other authority subject to the control of any of the governments. The incumbent President, Vice-President, Governor of any State or ministers of the Centre or any State shall be eligible to contest election.
  • The Asam Bani, the Assamese weekly of the Assam Tribune Group, is stepped into its 68th year of existence on 2nd July. The weekly started its journey on July 1, 1955 under the leadership of Singhapurush Radha Govinda Baruah.
  • To commemorate the birth anniversary of Prof PC Mahalanobis, the 16th National Statistics Day 2022 was celebrated on June 29.
  • The Kokrajhar district administration celebrated ‘District Day’ on the occasion of the foundation day of the district, which was created on July 1, 1983. The Sivasagar subdivision was also declared a separate district of Assam after the Jorhat subdivision of undivided Sivasagar district attained district status on July 1, 1983. Sivasagar district was further divided into two districts, Sivasagar and Charaideo, in 2015. The first Sivasagar Districthood Day was celebrated on July 1, 2014.

  • June 30 is celebrated as ‘Remna Ni’ (Peace Day) in Mizoram to commemorate the signing of the accord between the Indian government and the erstwhile underground outfit, Mizo National Front (MNF), in 1986. It is also a State holiday in Mizoram.

2 JULY

  • Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojna was launched in India by Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers welfare, New Delhi. It aims in supporting agriculture by providing financial support to farmers suffering crop loss/damage arising out of unforeseen events.
     
 

8 JULY

  • Water-borne and vector-borne diseases are increasing in Assam as flood water is decreasing. Vector-borne diseases include Dengue, malaria, Chikungunya yellow fever etc while Water-borne diseases include Cholera, Typhoid etc.
     

  • Kharchi Puja is a Hindu festival involving the worship of 14 gods forming the dynastic deity of the Tripuri people. It is one of the most popular festivals in Tripura.

9 JULY

  • A large number of pigs are being infected by African Swine Fever (ASF). Assam is the largest producer of pigs in India and the North-East all together produces around 40% of the total pigs in India.

10 JULY

  • Japanese encephalitis is a viral brain infection that’s spread through mosquito bites. The virus is found in pigs and birds, and is passed to mosquitoes when they bite infected animals.

  • PM-WANI is a scheme to increase the broadband connectivity across India and increase internet adaption in rural areas.

  • 10th of every month is celebrated as Day of Pension and Arunudoi.

16 JULY

  • Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sharma and CM of Arunachal Pradesh Prema Khandu signed the Namsai Declaration. The main objective of this declaration is to reduce border dispute. According to the declaration, all border issues between the two states will be confined to those raised before the Local Commission in 2007.

  • Tributes were paid to Singhapurush Radha Govin- da Baruah on his 45th death anniversary

  • অধ্যাপক পিচি মহালানোবিছৰ জন্ম জয়ন্তী উদযাপন কৰিবলৈ, 29 জুনত 16 তম ৰাষ্ট্ৰীয় পৰিসংখ্যা দিৱস 2022 উদযাপন কৰা হৈছিল।
  • ১৯৮৩ চনৰ ১ জুলাইত সৃষ্টি হোৱা জিলাখনৰ প্ৰতিষ্ঠা দিৱস উপলক্ষে কোকৰাঝাৰ জিলা প্ৰশাসনে ‘জিলা দিৱস’ উদযাপন কৰে। ১৯৮৩ চনৰ ১ জুলাইত অবিভক্ত গাঁও জিলাৰ জ্যোতি মহকুমাজিলা মৰ্যাদা লাভ কৰাৰ পিছত গাঁও মহকুমাটোক অসমৰ পৃথক জিলা হিচাপে ঘোষণা কৰা হয়। ২০১৫ চনত চৌধুৰী জিলাক পুনৰ দুখন জিলা, সিংহগৰ আৰু চৰাইদেউত বিভক্ত কৰা হৈছিল। প্ৰথম গাঁও খনৰ জিলা দিৱস 1 জুলাই, 2014 তাৰিখে পালন কৰা হৈছিল।

  • ১৯৮৬ চনত ভাৰত চৰকাৰ আৰু পূৰ্বৰ ভূগৰ্ভস্থ সংগঠন মিজো নেচনেল ফ্ৰণ্ট (এমএনএফ)ৰ মাজত চুক্তি স্বাক্ষৰকৰাৰ স্মৃতিত মিজোৰামত ৩০ জুন ‘ৰেমনা নি’ (শান্তি দিৱস) হিচাপে পালন কৰা হয়। এইটো মিজোৰামত ৰাজ্যিক বন্ধৰ দিন।

  • প্ৰধানমন্ত্ৰী ফচল বীমা যোজনা কৃষি আৰু কৃষক কল্যাণ মন্ত্ৰালয়ে মুকলি কৰিছিল। ইয়াৰ উদ্দেশ্য হৈছে অপ্ৰত্যাশিত ঘটনাৰ ফলত উদ্ভৱ হোৱা শস্যৰ ক্ষতিত ভুগি থকা কৃষক সকলক বিত্তীয় সহায় প্ৰদান কৰি কৃষিক সমৰ্থন কৰা।

  • বানপানী হ্ৰাস হোৱাৰ ফলত অসমত পানী জনিত ৰোগ আৰু মহ-মাখি আদিৰ দ্বাৰা বিয়পিব পৰা ৰোগ বৃদ্ধি পায়। মহ-মাখি আদিৰ দ্বাৰা বিয়পিব পৰা ৰোগৰ ভিতৰত আছে ডেংগু, মেলেৰিয়া, চিকুনগুনিয়া, হালধীয়া জ্বৰ ইত্যাদি আনহাতে পানী-জনিত ৰোগৰ ভিতৰত আছে কলেৰা, টাইফইড ইত্যাদি।
     
  • খাৰ্চি পূজা (Kharchi Puja) হৈছে ত্ৰিপুৰাৰ আটাইতকৈ জনপ্ৰিয় উৎসৱসমূহৰ এটা । ত্ৰিপুৰী লোকসকলে ৰাজবংশীয় দেৱতা গঠন কৰি ১৪ জন দেৱতাৰ উপাসনাৰ সৈতে জড়িত হৈ এই হিন্দু উৎসৱ পালন কৰে ।

  • আফ্ৰিকান ছোৱাইন জ্বৰৰ (ASF) দ্বাৰা বৃহৎ সংখ্যক গাহৰি সংক্ৰমিত হৈছে। অসম হৈছে ভাৰতৰ সৰ্ববৃহৎ গাহৰি উৎপাদক আৰু উত্তৰ-পূৰ্বাঞ্চলে একেলগে ভাৰতৰ মুঠ গাহৰিৰ প্ৰায় 40% উৎপাদন কৰে।

  • জাপানীজ এনকেফেলাইটিছ হৈছে এক ভাইৰেল মগজুৰ সংক্ৰমণ যি মহৰ কামোৰৰ জৰিয়তে বিয়পে। ভাইৰাছটো গাহৰি আৰু চৰাইৰ ক্ষেত্ৰত পোৱা যায়, আৰু সংক্ৰমিত জন্তুবোৰক কামোৰাৰ সময়ত মহলৈ প্ৰেৰণ হয়।
  • PM-Wani হৈছে সমগ্ৰ ভাৰতত ব্ৰডবেণ্ড সংযোগ বৃদ্ধি কৰা আৰু গ্ৰাম্য অঞ্চলত ইণ্টাৰনেট অভিযোজন বৃদ্ধি কৰাৰ এক আঁচনি।
