  • Natural festival Sarhul was celebrated in Jharkhand. It is the worship of the Sal tree. It is celebrated by the Oraon, Munda and Ho tribes.
  • Asia’s largest sewage treatment plant will be set up in Delhi and will play a major role in the Yamuna river cleaning process.
  • The National Health Authority launched the Unified Health Interface (UHI) under the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM).

  • The First edition of Indian Ocean Naval Symposium (IONS) Maritime Exercise 2022 (IMEX- 22) was held in the Arabian sea and Goa port. India and France also conducted the 20th edition of the Bilateral Naval Exercise “VARUNA – 2022” in the Arabian Sea. India- Kyrgyzstan Joint Special Forces Exercise ‘Khanjar 2022′ commenced at Special Forces Training School, Bakloh, Himachal Pradesh (HP)
  • India – Seychelles Joint Training 10-day long exercise was conducted between Indian Army and Seychelles Defence Forces (SDF) at Seychelles Defence Academy, Seychelles.
  • Tata Power Renewables Energy Limited (TPREL) has commissioned a 300 MegaWatt (MW) solar plant in Dholera, Gujarat with the country’s largest single-axis solar tracker system.
  • The Union Environment, Forest & Climate Change Minister Bhupender Yadav has launched ‘Prakriti’ (literal meaning ‘Nature’) – an Awareness Mascot & Green Initiatives on Plastic. It aims to spread awareness among masses about small changes that can be sustainably adopted in lifestyle for a better environment.
  • Nepal received permission to sell electricity generated from Devghat and Trishuli power projects to India.
  • Reserve Bank of India (RBI) Governor Shaktikanta Das has dedicated the Varnika ink manufacturing facility at Mysuru in Karnataka. The facility is a unit of Bharatiya Reserve Bank Note Mudran Private Limited (BRBNMPL), a wholly owned subsidiary of the RBI.
  • The Longding Battalion of the Assam Rifles (AR) celebrated the 187th Raising Day on 24 March 2022. The Assam Rifles is the oldest Paramilitary Force of India. They are nicknamed ‘Friends of the North East People’.
  • The environment and forest department of the Assam and Agence Francaise de Development (French Development Agency), a French funding agency. The MoU will enhance cooperation between the forest department and international stakeholders of Africa, Asia and France regarding biodiversity conservation in the Indo-Pacific region.
